fender 5 string jazz bass ?

I sought for some information...... why people don't have and use many of Fender Jazz Bass 5 string (or called "V"?).
got no clue.

I found some, but most of them are Dexlue model with preamp.
Otherwise, Precision 5's sometimes seen.

Problem with 5th string, on Fender Jazz Bass 5 ?
That doesn't even show a few in classified.

what do you think ?

I have one I just bought for $250 US. It's a Mexican Fender Jazz V. I like the way it plays but will be replacing the pickups with Bartolinis. I feel it's a good bass structurally, but could use some help electronically. If you like the sound of stock Fender pickups so much the better. Actually a lot of players use them. Check out CMT sometime.

What's CMT ? Of course I love the stock pickup sound of Fender Jazz.

From my experience, when they (Fender) first started venturing into the 5-string realm, they had notoriously weak B-strings.I assume people still thinks that's the case.Besides, let's face it,Fender IS "king of the 4-strings."Leo got it right the first time around.
King of 4. and Slave of 5 ? lol. jk.
The 5 that I tried , got weak 5th string, either. But, no way to solve ? Since fender bass always has some solution of itself and lots modification ways.
