i can't figure the mindset of making the best manufactured 5 string bass guitars and not offering a set of 5 stainless steel strings. Please educate me and satisfy my inquiring mind.

Compared to other strings makers, their selection in general is pretty limited. Besides, I don't hear a lot of talk about stainless Fender strings so it seems the demand isn't there.
Do you expect Ford to also make tires?
Cars and guitars seem to go together don't they ? But I did say "offer". Ford does "offer" tires to their clientele.
