Fender 8K+ Custom Shop Precision: Yea or Nay

I like the base color, the back. I actually like the fade on the head and I’m not scared of colorful guitars. But the whole lighthouse and sunset thing isn’t my style. Bet it sounds and feels great. I’m split because I dig the colors. just not the t shirt graphics.

It's more than custom shop - it's masterbuilt by Kyle McMillin. Probably sounds and feels great, but at that price I would rather try a Sadowsky or something comparable. Cut the price by 75%, "relic" it with some paint thinner, throw a gold pickguard on there and then we can talk.

that "Masterbuilt" label is a bit of a crock, if you ask me. A good friend of mine who used to be the lead guitarist for my Moscow band (this guy can play rings around most people, and has upwards of twenty really nice guitars) had purchased one of the Yuriy Shishkov 'masterbuilt' strats brand new - looked [Invalid or Expired Link Removed], only a strat... and he reported it was "one of the worst POS" guitars he had ever owned, and he was overjoyed to be able to sell it on to someone who just wanted a pretty wall hanger!

I build my own basses. The only thing that I'd use from that bass if you gave it to me would probably be the neck screws. So, I'll give you $1.50 for it.
