I love those Funkmaster bass strings on my electrics. Hadn't thought they'd work well on an Acoustic.
The K&K Pure Bass pickup.... Is that aftermarket?
I put a K&K knockoff in my BG32 because I hated the undersaddle pickup.
Much better tone, but a little noisy.
How so? Picks up bass body noise? Banging or tapping on body picked by transducers. Did you fit them on the underside of the body in any particular location?
Hmm... my two Burke basses uses K&K Pure, and there's not any noise with mine. You talking hiss, hum, etc?
Help me understand ABGs. I’ve never played one that I liked, or one that sounded really good. But, I honestly haven’t played very many. Is there one that actually feels like a Fender Precision Bass or Jazz Bass? A medium or short scale that isn’t terribly large?
And then the sound always seems weak. I’m tempted to go more in a Bass Uke direction to get that faux upright sound. But, then it would always need to be amplified. I’d love to have a ABG in my arsenal… that can be useable with acoustic guitar players, or around a campfire.
The Fender ABGs look great with the Fender bass shaped headstocks.

I found a BG-29 and I'm so tempted. Comments Fender ABG fans. Anyone. Someone. Several..... PS: I love the 30" scale.

No, it has a bit of distortion. More like a short or a bad connection, but not overbearing.
I wouldn’t want to record with them, but it’s not very noticeable in a band mix.
They’re not K&Ks, they’re knock offs. I wanted to get an idea of the difference between them and the under saddle wire before I bought K&Ks.
That said, they work well enough that I am not in a rush to replace them. I just wouldn’t record with them.
I own 6 acoustic basses. My Fender V2 feels the most like an electric to play. But it's not loud enough for campfire playing with multiple guitars. My Ortega would be my choice.
But I regress... I would do it differently. I'd contact someone that works with hundreds of speaker drivers, and knows them well. That person most likely knows about a few OEM custom drivers. Like the 6" woofer that plays with authority to 38hz. It goes in a tiny cabinet with a rechargeable battery. Weighs 10lbs maybe.
This is what I'd carry to the beach. A combo amp the size of a lunchbox, but can really move some air.

If I'm buying any 30" scale Fender, it would be the V2. One we already know that punches above it's small size.
My campfire ABG rig:
Pretty close to your spec. 40Hz, and 11.2 pounds. I just got it this month, so I haven't had the opportunity to test it in anything besides in a bedroom with one other guitar playing through a tiny amp. (Fender Mini-twin 9V, really tiny.)
I'm certain it will hold it's own. I'm powering it with an Anker Prime 20000mAh block.
(These are not yet available in the US, unless you're impatient like me, willing to pay extra to ship it here, and willing to forgo your warranty - only valid in Japan?)

Looks similar to my own. It's just twice the size. Of the 10 or so pounds, my actual speaker weighs 7 of it,
That 6" speaker has the same excursion as most 10" woofers, and gets really loud. But otherwise the designs are very similar.
Just curious what the battery life is on that one? I seldom use mine, but I'm wondering how long the battery is going to reach. I haven't needed to charge mine since I built it about a year ago. I purposely used true digital chip amps for efficiency. But I expected the battery to run low by now. I think I'll install a charge gauge to see my battery level.
