What is that? Looks like an Aerodyne body with another neck (maple) and a soap bar pickup in the bridge position.
Yeah, that website isn't loading so well on my phone, but it's got a Tribe logo on the headstock...

Also, interesting to see all the comments re: noise from the electronics in these models. Not exactly what one would expect from a Japanese outfit, but alas.
Pretty happy w/the pup tone on mine so far. My son is a performing artist, acknowledged tone junkie and WAY better than me on all instruments. So I asked him for a 2nd opinion on tone & he thought it sounds pretty good.
So no changes in the Pup Dept for now. I did score a NOS Leo Quan bridge but still unsure if I’m gonna install it or flip it on Reverb.

For Hipshot tuners, you’ll want the HB10’s and a BT10 if you want a Drop-D tuner.

The only downside is that Hipshot doesn't produce any hardware with a smoked chrome/black nickel finish to better blend with the Aerodyne's preexisting tuners. Fortunately, the visual difference between their chrome hardware and the factory installed smoked chrome isn't glaringly obvious unless you look up close.

Any users of the aerodyne with TI flats, or flats in general? Most likely will be using the P pickup majority of the time but the J on the bridge would be nice to have too. I am pretty much 95% a flats guy, and this bass is in my radar. It seems light which is amazing, will try one at a local store this weekend.
Yes, my Aerodyne is strung with TI Jazz Flats. I generally blend pickups, 100% P, about 80% J.
In day to day use, the difference really isn't that glaring. Sure, I'd love it if they all matched, but it's really not that big a deal.
When I got my first, used Aerodyne (my first-ever bass, for that matter), a music store employee made a very good case for me to use a set of .100-gauge D'Addario Chromes and they worked very well with the stock pickups. I got a very fat sound out of it, but could still squeeze a bit of "zing" out of them when I really dug into the strings.
One of the very few in my stable that does not have TI's. Mine has GHS Precision Flats in the light gauge, cannot recall what that actually was. I moved them from another P where they were just, well, not my TI's. They sounded great on the non-export Aero P.
