You’re right, my pro is not THAT rolled! Night and day, though, if you play it back to back with a Player Series (clearly non rolled).

Agreed. In fact, I hope Pro II isn't that much rolled off, I didn't particularly like it to be honest. Well if I had to bet, it's probably more similar to the Pro I. It's all mostly marketing anyways.

Going from $1600 to $2500 is a 56% increase which is significant in financial terms. Less than 10% gap is what we would consider acceptable and less than 5% is close. 56% isn’t close at all.

My thoughts exactly. And that’s typically a basic build. Basses with more novel features usually begin around $3,300 IME.

I have to agree with TBers who say Fender's marketingspeak has become impenetrable. They tout long-standing features as if they're new (i.e., rolled edges), and don't really explain new features (what, exactly, is different about the V-Mod II pickups and what deficiency do they correct?)
