Fender American Professional Jazz Bass 2019 - How heavy strings?

Hello to all. It's been sometime since I wrote here. I hope you are all well.

I am interested in purchasing a 4 string Fender American Pro Jazz bass. Playing in a band that uses D standard with occasional Drop C tunings, I wonder if anyone knows if the jazz bass can handle a heavier gauge [like 115 or 120 that GHS and Daddario offer respectively] without any modifications to the nut.

I'd like to avoid modifying it, firstly due to "keep it original" and secondly because the nut is bone.

Plus, the price of this instrument in Europe is around €1600.

Any thoughts and/or experience with this?

From what I have run into I would say you are probably OK going to about 110 without having to adjust the nut. Anything over that is much more likely to need the slots widened.
