Fender Bassman Pedals

It's in the video, and I'm also the Director of Product Management for Fender Amps & Electronics.

If you have any questions about these pedals, or any other Fender Bass gear I'm happy to assist.
I may not know the answers to all the questions, but I will almost always know someone who does.
Just a FYI, you should be registered as a commercial member unless the admin has changed the rules. It’s cool that you are here and helping with information though.

I love Fender, but I’ll admit when I saw the video thumbnail in my YouTube feed, I thought these were $49 guitar pedals and scrolled right on by.

Well, probably not literally $49, but you know what I mean.

Thanks to this thread, I’ll give the Fender demo a good listen. I could use a pedal or two. Drive and comp at least…

I got an email today from Russo’s music highlighting these. They are $120 so I’m rooting for them, I was hoping someone had tried at least the distortion and the fuzz.
I just got the fuzz, will post a mini review and freq response charts if I can find the time…

It’s unique, but a bit noisy (I wish the fuzz tone control had more range, as it only has 6dbs of im high freque cut… I seem to remember the sub-lime having a WIDE range for this)

Got the drive in today; got to say that I'm impressed with the build quality and the aesthetic works more in person for me than in the pics. Simple controls and all are very nice and the clickless switch is very impressive for a $129 pedal. As for the sound.. the baked in mid cuts and cab emulation will drastically alter your tone. If you play direct like I do it's almost like getting the scoopy Sansamp Sound in a drive pedal without being able to blend your mids back in. The blend is low passed, which is nice to get some of your clean lows back; however, the character of your entire sound will be this drive pedal when engaged. I could see this being used as an always on pedal as a Bassman amp sim or direct tone; but it may be to tone altering for me to use it as a standalone drive.

Anyone got a live demo of the Fuzz? The youtube demos are great and all, but sometimes I feel like they are produced so well they aren't "true" to the character. Hoping someone can upload a clip to soundcloud or something

Maybe I'm missing something cause I'm on my phone but I can't hear any drive in this track. When does the pedal kick in?
I was demonstrating the tone change when engaging the pedal, it’s on at the start with very mild saturation, I could certainly demonstrate it with more drive as I think drive was set to 1 or 2 here

I have both the new Bassman Fuzz and the Sublime. For what it's worth, they both produce similar noise. The noise doesn't come from the pedal so much as the fuzz circuit itself. With the pedal on and the fuzz down, there's no noise. I'd say the noise is what I expect from a fuzz pedal.

I'll be writing a review shortly but will say for those who thought this would give you the Sublime tone in a smaller enclosure, nope. They're both keepers but they're not alike.
