Fender bought Genz Benz??

Scarey thought ... Loud Technologies could have bought Kaman Industries.

I may be wrong on this, but aren't the individual companies, such as Guild, Gretsch, SWR, and now Genz Benz still being run by their own management/owner teams?

Genz Benz certainly is, and just as importantly, the product design and quality control is still being handled by the same people. I have been designing amplifier product for 12-13 years. IMO, continuity with any company is important.

Yes, and...

Anyway- There are no and will be no "growing pains" at Genz Benz. Per the purchase agreement, Kaman will operate as a "seperate business entity".

I ignore internet hand-wringing. It's just not worth the energy. Oftentimes I find myself thinking "hmm... the internet... just because it can be done doesn't mean it should be."

Now I would've had pre-Fender SWR and GB stuff, so vintage, so fast. WHEW!! That was close.
