For those of you with Classic 50s. What's the weight like?

Mine was very light, probably 8 lb. range. Actually a bit lighter than the AVRI that replaced it.

White Precision, maple neck with dots. Yeah, like the one I had in the early 80's. Sweet.

Can't really say I'm a fan of natural bodies. They look too shiny and plain.

I have a 2006 50s classic in black. It 's probably my best playing bass ( of 8) and also the lightest.

Totally stock, no reason to change a thing. Sounds killer with flats, never tried rounds on it but may try tape wounds.

Personally like the anodized guard, but I have other black Fenders with tort , black or white guards. Any of these would look great if you wanted to change.

Fantastic looking, playing and sounding bass. Not just for the money- great bass period.

I would take the 50's anyday over the 70's. I love the construction and sound of that bass. I never have been a fan of 70's fender guitars. I think that is their worst period "the cbs days" and cant believe they would even put out a replica of one of these.

The 70's p basses are made in Japan. Trust me...they got it right.
