Fender Coronado bass

Nothing I can recall specifically. Sometimes making records is a blur, and challenging for me to remember what went where.

I found that recently during a couple of sessions I played. I tried to keep a log of what instrument, strings, effects & amplification I was using, but it seemed to impede progress. But I was hoping to do this so that I could try to recreate some of the same studio sounds on stage. Silly me!

I recently worked with a producer who kept track of that kind of detail in a spread sheet. Surprised the heck out of me, as he was not at all that way in his approach to the recording! He said documentation was important to him, and it only took a few seconds.

The assistant engineer at 98% of the sessions I do doc's the gear used on a song very thoroughly, down to tunings, amp and pedal settings. And I have the assistant do the same when I'm producing a record as well. I just have a hard time remembering everything myself.
