Congratulations! Was this the one recently in the TB Classifieds? I recently picked up a FCS 66 in Shoreline Gold as well. These are wonderful basses.
Beautiful bass! I remember when this was in the TB Classifieds. Fella who owned it plays for Little Bigtown. Prior to that it spent time as a studio bass IIRC in the Baltimore area.
I believe it was, I’m local to the guy that was looking trade so I took a ride over and had a chance to play it. Once I played it.... it was all over.

Have you ever played a ‘70s Tele Bass..? Is the sound at all similar..?
Used to have a Dusty and regret selling...but this one is at the local shop and I just love it
They should be.. aside from post CBS differences maybe. Basically a reissue of the 51 or 52 iirc

Is it a NOS version? I saw one at the Music Zoo site and drooled over it till someone else bought. I should have jumper on it then and saved time and money. Still, I love my Loretta. She’s sweet. If you love that one, I’d get it if at all possible.
I haven’t, but I’d bet it’s similar. There’s something really sweet about the single coil.
Yup. .new old stock. Has slight checking and the hardware just slightly tarnished. Amazing beefy neck. I really dont dig split coil Ps...but these 50 style singles are just killer.
You know, the chunky neck was what sold me. I called CME and asked Karl to give me his impression. He said, the neck is super chunky and it has a much wider variety of tone than I expected. I said sold! Wait, can I get a deal??
