This is a great point, I've asked and theyre going to check the neck pocket. Im definitely leaning towards it.

I have 4 custom builds by 3 makers, and CS is the 'worst' in terms of features and extras, or anything tangible that makes it special.
So, my opinion is that it not in anyway a significant upgrade to an Elite 2014 vintage, so I'd pay accordingly.
At best that would likely be $700 extra and thats generous for basically the CS logo and cache.

Doesn't make it a bad bass, but nothing overly special either. imo.

I'd have a lot of confidence in this one as long as it's been stored properly. It looks great, like it has been stored well. I had a Fender CS 64 NOS Jazz from around this period and it was an outstanding bass. I will also say that the AVRI basses are excellent basses for those that want to spend less than CS money. I have both AVRI 62 Jazz and 62 P basses along with a CS P bass.

I had Pino years ago. Loved the bass but my hands didn’t like the neck! Was bummed to sell it but i wasnt playing that bass. I have ’64 CS jazz that i LOVE. I was happy to find postmodern precision bass that has 60’s jazz neck!! Wonderful bass. Heres my two CS instruments!

Beautiful! Lake Placid Blue and Firemist Gold. Both great custom colors. :thumbsup:

You've sold it to me. The 2002 NOS 'as new' bass I enquired about wasnt 'as new' when they removed the bridge cover. So Ive been considering just ordering one and wanted blue, but wasnt sure which blue. Gonna see what the prices are saying though since the pound isnt doing so good!

I ordered a CS '59 P-bass in NOS back in 2008, so about 14 years ago. I'm not against "relic" finishes but for me I wanted it NOS, and it's been a great player.

The individual string mutes came with my AVRI 60 Jazz Bass. I haven't installed them, but one advantage is you can adjust the pressure (or amount of muting) for each string individually. There is less control using the bridge cover mute. Of course, with the individual mutes you have to drill the body.

I love my Postmodern but that colour of yours is just awesome!
