Here's a sneak peek of my new P...
I wanted the jazz twin there but to heavy :-( . I thought about grabbing that p bass. very cool . prolly my next acquisition a CS p.
The J twin is very nice..matching headstock too..!.did you see the black jazz..?..I was kinda torn on the decision between this bass and the Black J, but I'm rebuilding my roster and went with a P first...
Yes I did . A few months back they had a CS Fiesta red jazz matching head stock NOS that sold the day I contacted them on it. I really wanted that one .
Sounds sweet...I just discovered that little shop not too long ago...I was talking to one of the sales guys and apparently the owner specs and custom orders all the CS basses they get...he's got great taste evidently...
Lol...that's the plan...the ketchup and mustard look is not that sexy to me....Beautiful. It screams out for a mint guard, I think.

There's a couple of Frost Gold Precisions in a german music shop...I swear, one day I'll own this one (may take several years from now though

Yeah on that one I like how the body kind of matches the neck in a terrific "Lager Bier" shade...would make me a bit less scared of accidentally spilling some beer on the thing

From what I can see from Thomann's new batch of CS basses, it looks like the Fender CS re-positions their logo:
I think I prefer the old position, but either way I am happy there is a change that distinguishes pre-2016 models from post-2016.
I hope they keep it.

I think you're reading into things too much. I've had over a dozen FCS basses and guitars over the last decade and there was never any consistency to the placement of the logo, other than the back of the headstock. All of the logos are hand placed, so they may be off by a few millimeters between instruments. The same is true with front logo placement (and is consistent with vintage Fender instruments whose logo placement varied slightly from instrument to instrument).
Although I can see your point, I tend to believe that the inconsistency in the front logo is intentional with an aim to reflect the inconsistency 60s/70s Fenders had. The CS logo, as far as I am aware of, was always placed in the lower edge of the headstock; with mm variations, yes, but always there. The above placement is not something that can be accidentally happen by a precise/experienced hand. What is more, is not an one-off example; all of the new Thomann CS basses feature the same logo placement with no variation whatsoever.
