So I got the bass and man! It's the lightest jazz bass I ever put my hands on. I played other light basses but the weight balance was always off. The neck and body weighs the perfect amount to make it feel like a feather.
I sent photos of the electronics to the fender customer service rep and was notified that they are the original scn pickups the customer picked out. Not sure why you would pick those for a master builder to put in but not my boat. Electronics the bass has an Aguilar 2 band obp-1. I like it! Reminds me of Sadowsky's pre.
My only gripe is I wish it were a P bass! Just how I prefer my 4 strings.

Okay, they put on the "standard" 4 String B Style Bass Bridge with 4 screws. I would stay with that. A fender bridge won't fit directly.
4 String B Style Bass Bridge > Store > Hipshot Products.

Olivia's had a Charcoal Frost CS 66 jazz Masterbuilt by Dale Wilson listed in the 4K range. Not an bad price for a Masterbuilt CS. It didn't last long.

I see why....it's very sharp...I would probably go with the Lush Closet Classic treatment on this one, maybe Journeyman so the neck can be super comfy, but I want all the paint on this guy..

That's how the one in Olivia's vintage was. Just a few nicks here and there and a few finish cracks.

So, I am using Dunlop Super Bright Nickels on my CS '64, and I am really loving the combination.
Although I definitely understand the use of flatwounds on Fender CS basses, I think it's a shame to muffle their sonic richness, especially on Jazz basses.

If I was gonna throw down the cash for a CS, it'd be this one or the Pino. Love it.
