I just checked out their website; they have some nice basses. I wonder why we (in the U.S.) don't get the FREE Custom Shop tookkit Thomann includes?
Update: I received the '59 CS P-bass back from thomann.de today, it has been for service at Fender Germany. The enclosed service report said that the pickups had been "correctly installed now", and that they had fixed a problem with loose wiring that caused the humming. Which means they kinda admit it was a cock-up with the pickups (are you allowed to write that??) that made the problems (raised pu poles were on the G string when I got it the first time, which seemed odd).
I tested it on my trusty Ampeg SVT-VR yesterday evening, and I'm really happy with it now. One can always debate whether or not stuff like this should happen on a CS bass (the loose wiring can happen during freight, but the mixed pickups?), but bottom line is: I'm really happy, and neither Thomann and Fender have lost goodwill in my book.

Played a gig with it few weeks ago in Oslo, here are two shots, one wiht the covers on from a rehearsal, and one from the concert with the covers off. Sounded awesome through a SVT-CL and 610 that had been warmed up for 10 hors before show start!
Hey guys...hows the 2010 '60jazz relic? It looks great but do they play great? It doesn't have a quartsawn neck. ..is mint condition worth 2450?

Here is my Road Show Relic '65 Jazz and my Custom Classic V.
Both incredible bases in every way. Custom shop basses have such a big fat warm tone - more so than any other fenders I've tried.The custom Classic V is a BEAST and it is for sale

That's how they all are. My NOS is the same way. It should also have relic under the pick guard as well.
