Fender Customshop??? Purple Sparkle!

Totally. From the first replies this guy seems strongly fighting the final overcome that it is fake. But instead of answering in a nice manner to HELP you asked for yoy have been rude and pushy. I think you pull the trigger and tought were doing the deal of the year.so it didnt turn that way. Live with that. But dont come over here to bash your frustration to people who DONT have any compromise, but instead being helpful and kind.
yeah, a real charmer...

A member here who was.......... outspoken........... and recently got banned. I thought he was pretty funny. But he must have said something that ticked somebody off. (I have been guilty of it myself.) And somebody beats nobody every time.

Wait, Nobody got banned? Man...I really liked that Cat. Never failed to brighten a thread. He was the troll Talkbass deserved...

R.I.P. In Peace, Nobody.

He's clearly going to try and sell that as a Fender CS...

Anyone remember much about the bass? There's no indication if it was a P or a J or something else (unlikely), what colour the pickguard was, if there were pickup covers, where the truss rod adjustment was (heel or nut), etc.

The OP mentions it has a "brass top"??? I'm not sure what he's referring to.

All I can gather that it was a poorly made fretless "Fender Custom Shop" with a purple sparkle/metallic color, matching headstock, 3-bolt neck plate, and Schaller tuners and bridge. Also there's a red custom shop stamp with the date 11-92 in the pocket, and a 1-33 mark (somewhere?) on the neck.

Those features are pretty unique so it shouldn't be too hard to spot, but anything to help confirm it for later readers/possible buyers would be good.
Brass top=Brass nut
