Pica, while I agree with you on this:
The point I have been arguing is that Squier is Fender and therefore a Fender decal IS appropriate as a way to identify the product. Much like putting a Mazda logo on a Ford would be acceptable since the reality is that the two companies merged and are really one now.
If someone DOES put a fender logo on a cheap guitar, that's there business, and if they try to sell it, well, as in everything else in life, it's buyer beware and up to each of us to do our own homework. If your paying for a guitar and feel you should be able to rely on what the seller claims without your own verification then your dumb and I hold you in distain for expecting everyone else in the world to protect you from yourself.
