Quite expensive I'd rather say for a quite anonymous jazz bass IMO... Ma Am. Std. In OVH looks better....

I was looking on the website to pick some specs for my 60's style jazz bass. I've always liked the look of a black one, red tort pickgaurd and rosewood board.
Then I saw this!!!! Now I'm torn.... It hits all my buttons. And if any of fenders recent offerings are an indication, it will be a stellar bass. Damnit!!!

$1300? The're over $2000 in Canada, now.Yes true, all prices have gone up, sometimes in surges. When american standards shot up from $700 to a grand for instance, and now they are $1300.
But $1199 for MIM seems a new landmark... That would have been the fair price had Japan still been in operation I think.
That wall ain't gonna happen, and if it does, better start building that underground bunker!
$1199 is the Artist series. The Standards are still $600US/$800CAYes true, all prices have gone up, sometimes in surges. When american standards shot up from $700 to a grand for instance, and now they are $1300.
