Fender fretless neck ID

I bought a weird parts bass with a 1966 Fender neckplate. Seller agreed it wasn't really 1966 and sold it cheap, but it got me thinking maybe this neck is a MIJ reissue of a 60's P?

Reverse tuners, front logo seems to be in the wrong place, back of headstock has been sanded (photo doesn't catch it) where a serial or other info would have been. There are handwritten letters on the heel, no stamp.

Can't say for sure what the fingerboard wood is, streaks of brown in what I thought was ebony.

As always, all replies appreciated. PS I bought the bass for the unlined fretless neck, and I already swapped it onto a jazz bass.

EDIT: Courtesy of @spacebassed It was made by LaSiDo/Godin in Canada. Stew-Mac used to sell them. Fretboard is (great quality) ebony.

The slab board and hex truss rod nut rule out a 66, and the lack of a stamp as opposed to penned in letters. The headstock looks a bit wonky as well. Nice tuners though, early Ps had reverse Klusons which you turned towards you to tune up.
Also notice the way the E and A tuners are touching and the other two start to get further apart, not a Fender trait

We agreed it was never a 1966, trying to decide if it's any Fender product from any country.

The back was sanded off, the front actually looks original but not placed where I've seen other decals...until I searched more.

I was happy to buy it because the neck feels good, thanks for all the replies

I had a lined fretless jazz neck on this bass, I swapped it for the new neck.
I was never much into fretless and recently got an unlined Guild, now I'm hooked. I can't stand the lines anymore.
Whatever it is, it's a pretty good neck. I'm bringing it with me tonight for a rehearsal/recording session with a new guitarist.

That's perfect, now play the thing. Really does look great, not overstated

I purchased this one for a project back in '97 or so, but never did anything with it. I've just been carting it around ever since. If you look closely, there's a hand written date that's either 9/10/1996 or 9/18/1996. Mine's an N105, as opposed to the OP's N106, but otherwise these look to be pretty similar and obviously from the same manufacturer. Mine also had the stickers, but I don't recall what they said. I do remember poring over Stew-Mac, Warmoth, and whatever other parts catalogs I could get my hands on. I definitely did purchase the neck, tuners, string retainer, a nut, and I think some strap buttons along with the neck. FWIW, if that helps.

A quick tangent. Note that my mounting holes are off center. This was very briefly mounted on a really cheap 70s body from the far east, before I gave up on the project. One of these days I'll look into filling them and mounting it on something a bit more worthy. Thanks for this. It really looks and feels like a good quality neck maker, and I found some info that Fender licensed this neck...that might explain the front decal. It's a legit aftermarket neck.

In any case, I'm happy with it. It's a keeper.
