Fender Fretless Precision Bass - Post yours

Haven't read the whole thread..just looking at pics... Quick Story..
When I first began playing [String bass in high school symphony...1968-69].., a bass horn guy who knew that I wanted to double on electric told me that "The only true/ real electric bass is a Fender fretless Precision Bass". This was 1969 or 70 at the latest...
I went to the closest mom-n-pop. TA 1970 Fender Precision Fretless bass retailed at $475..I knew nothing of discounts..I only believed sticker prices..I was only 15. Probably could have gotten it for half that price if I had not been totally naive..
Regardless...No way would I ask my parents for a bass costing that much. They bought me a first year M I J Epi fretted Shiort Scale for $125.... I had no concept of Jaco or muahhh or any of that, then...
Never heard of Jaco until Heavy Weather... I love him, but he did not invent fretless electric bass.

My '67 P. Stripped, refined, defretted, bad assed, brass nutted with barts.... There must be a better pic somewhere.
I have some stuff I've done with my p although none of it is dry bass by its self.
Also I'd wager that there's gonna be some major tonal differences between some of the different p's here.
but what the hay, here's a clip I did a few years ago that's pretty cool and about as dry as any of my music gets.
Ps: see if you can guess the effects I'm using.

1. '78 P modded to PJ, BAII bridge, worst color aftermarket tort guard I've ever seen, passive with some old Roadstar pups. Loaded with roundwound piccolo just recently for fun, usually has TI flats. Has switchable red led's on the neck dots.
2. Franken P, 70's era neck with cello fingerboard, warmoth body, P's from the '78, Bartolini humbucker at the bridge. Loaded with Labella flats right now. Passive.
Here's what they both sound like as of a couple days ago:
1. '78 P modded to PJ, BAII bridge, worst color aftermarket tort guard I've ever seen, passive with some old Roadstar pups. Loaded with roundwound piccolo just recently for fun, usually has TI flats. Has switchable red led's on the neck dots.

the trick for me was to do all my at-home practicing on the fretless. All my scales, every song I learned, everything, done on the fretless.
Your precision on fretless will only aid your fretted playing, so you can't really go wrong.
Then it's just a matter of time before you're confident enough to take the fretless out on a gig.

This is the way I learned.
Here's mine. Squire Classic Vibe body in Sonic Blue with a MIM Fender P pickup. WD J size neck - maple with ebony board. Strung with Fender 9050ML flats.
