Fender FSR P basses??

Nice surprise for sure! No signature or number on mine.

How do you like your bass?

Love it, of course. I haven't had time to test it much though, I got it the day before I went on holiday.. So I don't really know how it sounds, only played it on a little VOX plug-in headphone amp. But the finish and build quality seems absolutely excellent. Really, really happy so far :)

Nooooo... It's back! Those basses look sharp! I played a nice hand stained Fender Jazz in California a few weeks ago. It sounded great. No surprises there. The 2012s should have the upgraded PUs on board. I would have to hear a good side by side to see if I could tell if the new PUs make much of a difference. I know they are not making a lot of these at the moment. So if you dig it and can find one, grab it!

I have one now sitting in my music room! :D

The mahogany/maple Jazz Bass is still listed on fender.com, no Precisions.
Dawsons still have a mahogany/maple Precision on display in their Manchester (UK) store. I've just had a look at it, and it's signed and numbered at the back of the headstock (#4). They also have a numbered and signed wine red/rosewood Jazz Bass - (#47, as far as I recall).

Hello,

got mine today. I am competely happy wirh this beauty. Plays and sound like a dream. It is also a signed exemplar, No 12.

I just bought a hand stained wine red FSR P bass. It has Fender Custom SHop 60's pups and graphite reinforced neck. It is the best P bass I ever played (30 years) and I don't give a fart what people say. The American Series sounds like heaven!! Best bass ever made.

Has anyone seen a real pic of the hand stain ones they have at GC? they look yellow! that must just be a bad pic. I think they made the yellow ones just for GC. I swear they had precisions and jazz but now I only see jazz bass.
