Fender Jazz Bass '89

yeah i know it's kinda expensive, €718,- but i can't find any cheaper, and when i finally find one that is cheaper, and i send an e-mail to the guy who sells it, he won't reply or he already sold it, so then i would rather spend a little more on a bass whith a case now, then searching for a cheaper one for a year, and then finally save €100

I understand--when you want something, you want it!

I just picked one up at a pawnshop 2 weeks ago. I was in killer condition except for a changed out tuning key.Good luck in your search. Here's a pic of mine.

Awesome looking bass! But I don't believe any of the tuners are original..... they have the thicker amdlx style tuners.

I have a badassII on mine, but am thinking of pickup up just a plane vintage style bent plate bridge for mine. I still have the original bridge, but seeing yours and how close the strings are to the edge of the neck brings back bad memories......

hello everyone,

I'm looking for a 22 frets Fender Jazz Bass from 1989.
at first i wanted to buy an "ordinary" 20 frets jazz bass, but after i have played a 22 frets today, i think that the 22 frets plays better, but i can't find any on google, only fretless ones.
does anybody know where i can find one?
thank you very much.

P.S. sorry for the bad english, i'm from Holland ;)

Sounds like you're looking for a Jazz Bass Plus. I think Fender made those from 1988 to 1992. There's one for sale here in the classifieds if I'm not mistaken.

According to Reverb, the Fender Jazz Bass Plus ran from 1990 to 1994. It was a big deal for Fender -- Fender's first active Jazz Bass, Fender's first B-E-A-D-G 5-string bass, Fender USA's first Jazz Bass with reduced body size, and Fender USA's first Jazz Bass without a pickguard. I personally think the Fender Jazz Bass Plus -- sometimes called the Fender Kubicki Factor Jazz Bass -- is the best Jazz Bass that Fender has ever made. I own four of them!
