Fender Jazz Bass Vintage

and fralin's vintage fender stuff is a home run, as are nordstrand's repros.

there, /thread.

(and look at the massive "jazz pickups" sticky while you're at it.)

Love my new Aguilar Jazz set.. Actually sound a lot better than the SD Antiquities I have in my '77 fretless. In the sense they sound more vintage.. the SDs are hot :o

edit: The neck pup of my '77 died, the neck pup of my '73 died; Thats the reason I replaced the sets. After getting the Aguilar pups I wanted to replace the SDs in my '77 aswell; the only reason I didn't do that yet is cash, and the SD's have their own nice character.. But.. HOT.. imo.. ;)

the best sounding antiquities are the ones that arent wound so hot imo/ime. they dont have a consistent number of turns they do on this series which makes it tough to generalize. im curious about the ag's though as ive tried just about everything out there except those.
