Fender Jazz Bass with Active EMGs?

I've noticed this bass for sale on Trademe (a New Zealand only eBay basically)
Invalid Link Removed

I was wondering whether anyone knows much about Jazz basses with these pickups? How do they sound?
I can't try it out unfortunately Christchurch is a long way from Hamilton...

Price doesn't seem too bad (about 2/3 of new price, with some extras and new pickups)
It does come with original pups anyway I suppose.

Thanks

My tech (and modster "demon" of choice: the one whisperin' in my ears "have you ever tried this coupled with that, those strings and bridge?" and so on) has an assembled Jazz bass in alder w/maple neck and board and installed exactly those emg
He lets me try his stuff out (also because it's like advertise for sumthin' new to me) and, as always with emg I didn't like not because it wasn't worth the change, but because too much trebley for me... I mean: ok for savage slap but not so versatile

My €. 0,02

Cheers,
Wallace

Btw: buy the bass: looks cool and, with original pickups, you'll always be able to decide

I have EMGs in my Geddy Lee. They are great pickups. Yes they are bright, but that's what the tone knob is for! They are dead quiet which is a refreshing change from the typical Fender hum. Obviously they don't sound like passive single coils but they still sound like a Jazz bass and work in pretty much any situation.

Here's some clips of how they sound:
