Fender Jazz Deluxe Active MIM

I'm picking one up today in a trade for some old guitar gear...
any thoughts?

Ebay it or sell it here and make MUCH more money. Trading gear in is always a ripoff.

Besides, why do you need a mim fender?

trade with a guy thats looking for some gear i had. I'm going to keep it for a little while, atleast to get me through these shows I have coming up because its better than the Jazz I'm using as my 2nd right now.
MIM isnt all that bad. Not great but im just saving stuff up until I get more money. I'll end up getting rid of it for a P-bass at some point but im going to use it for now. So I was just wondering was some general thoughts on this thing were.

p.s. never trade to a store... bad bad bad idea.

It's the best MIM Fender I've played. I liked it so much, I bought a 2nd one, just to have the same kickass tone in a different color lol. For 10 other instances of me praising the Deluxe J, do a search for "Deluxe Jazz MIM"!

I had a 5 string MIM Jazz Deluxe for several years. Great bass for the money but HEAVY ... AS ... HELL (13.5 pounds )!
