I dig it, though not for me, looks cool on Okamoto who's a great player. His signature P-bass is also very nice (p pick up + J neck)

Finally, a Fender I like the looks of!

Looks like it could be interesting to learn to play comfortably, but shouldn't be worse than standard Fenders (which I find pretty uncomfortable, & too short).


A bit pricey, but I'd totally try one out if I had the opportunity

My friend had a Katana guitar back in the early 90s. It was so hard to play sitting down.
If it was a $350 Squier, I might be interested.

It seems like that it is sold only for Japan? Street price is 143,550 Yen = $1305.

Uggghhhh.......I remember picking one of those up back in the Day, as surmised, a balance nightmare, and what is that P Bass ashtray doing on there? Some fashion trends are better left un-recycled, including the pointy bass thing. The kind of thing you play in a video....and then never again.

Not a big fan of the bass. But I checked out the video. I love his tone and his playing. Good combination of TASTEFUL slap and finger style. Slight drive on his tone. The band grooves. Good song.

If it's short scale the balance is probably not as bad.

Since it's an artist signature I assume the artist wanted this specific model and configuration, so maybe it's better to play than the first-gen Katana.

Someone was looking for a Katana a year or two ago. But I think they were on a hunt for a $300 used Katana.
