Hi there everyone
I just purchased my first acoustic bass. The Fender Kingman V2. I understand that generally the action is a little higher on an acoustic instrument but I was wondering what the recommended height is for this bass. A quick measurement at the 12Fret is about 4mm from the top of the fret to the bottom of the string and by the time I get to the end of the fretboard (bridge end) we are pushing 4.5mm-5mm.
The neck seems straight and there is no fret buzz. Just wondering if it is worth getting it lowered or if this is typical of a Fender Kingman v2. My other basses are Status's and Kubicki's which have quite low action and super light strings so I am trying to figure out if the string height of this bass is per spec? Thanks for any help
