Fender Launches New Midnight Hour Precision Bass

Convert to chrome hardware and W/B/W guard, and it's good to go, for me, at any rate. Wish it had a 7.25" radius, but I can deal with 9.5" if I have to. It's just an AO '60's P in purple with a matching head and gold hardware.

I was about to rip Fender for calling it "Midnight Hour" (perhaps the most famous song ever recorded at Stax), while saying that it delivers "that vintage Motown mojo." Then I saw that "The Midnight Hour" is the name of the group with Adrian Younge in it.

I've seen Adrian Younge perform before. The music had not a shred of Motown or Stax feel to it. It was bland and flat as all get out. It's a shame that this is the best the modern soul-hip-hop world has to offer.

Nice looking bass, regardless (after the above mentioned changes), and the price is in line for what is basically a special edition AO Series bass.
