Fender limited edition professional P-bas info

You can configure the exact same bass on the Mod Shop in the US.

Hmm, seems that way yes. It’s almost as if the default setting when I go to the mod shop and put together a P-bass makes it one exactly like mine. I didn’t even have to make it a PJ, it just became one. Also the roasted neck, the Am pro tuners and the bridge seemed to be the default option. A bit strange I think.
So is the limited run of a 100 basses really a bit of a hoax?

That's right... and that also means that the same PJ could potentially be purchased with the Rosewood neck :woot:

Anyone so kind as to sharing the price here for both the roasted and rosewood neck models of this PJ? I can combine them on the mod shop but can't access pricing nor purchase functionalities, guess because they're not accessible from Switzerland :(

Thanks!

Apologies in advance if this has already been mentioned, but the solid rosewood neck weighed a ton on the Fender Ltd edition professional PJ I tried, terrible neck dive. Just a 'heads up'.

Hmmm it had not been mentioned actually and I never thought of that... thanks for the headsup... but what a pity... :(

So sticking to the roasted maple version then... Anyone who could get a quote from the mod shop please and share here? Thanks!

Well I have the limited edition PJ, Daphne blue with the roasted maple neck and it balances just fine. It’s medium weight, aprox 9 lbs and the only thing I’m not 100% fond of is the new vintage tall frets and the 9,5’ radius. I would have preferred the vintage small frets and 7,25’ radius. Also I didn’t like the V-mod P’pickup so I changed it to a Lundgren P.
But it’s a great instrument all the same, only a matter of taste.

Thanks for all the feedback and advice! :)

Anyone can help me get it's price on Fender's mod shop? Seems we can only play with the different parts here in Switzerland but not order nor get the price

Would really appreciate thanks!
