Fender limited edition professional P-bas info

Anybody knows anything about these latest limited edition series and where to find information about them?
I just ordered a Daphe blue P with roasted maple neck but other than the usual specs on the ordering page there’s not much to be found pn Fender’s page or anywhere else.

It's basically an American Professional, with a roasted maple neck, PJ pickups and the concentric controls. I'm tempted myself but would have to have a bit of a clear out first to raise the funds.

Seems like my deal is off anyway. I though it was clear but the waiting time was too long all of a sudden so I will cancel the deal.

Limited shortened is Ltd. Which is also the name of a bass brand.

Yeah, pretty cool for a utility passive bass if the price is reasonable. I'm really liking the new Vintera line as well. Looking forward to when they start popping up used.

Roasted necks are a good upgrade. I've been using them for a while now. I don't think they should be a special run thing, I think their top of the line American made instruments should come with them standard. They need more reasons for people to step up; roasted necks are one thing that is visually obvious, and that has real performance (and weight) benefits. Fender is clearly behind the times on a number of things, but at least they're paying some attention.

Wonder why concentric pots were used but no 3rd pickguard hole for the input jack.

I converted my P/J Precision Bass to concentric pots because I prefer the traditional 2 knob look and the input jack on the top.

I wonder if they have used the American Performer body which is already PJ routed and just drilled it to take the string through bridge?

Perhaps they moved the jack to the side to avoid the pickguard breakage that is so common at the jack.

Probably using elite bodies. If they’re going to put the jack on the side, I’d have preferred volume / balance / tone, controls, and also a noiseless Bridge pickup. But it is the only American PJ with a roasted neck.

or Performer bass bodies as OllyW already suggested. Hope it’s nice and lightweight.
