Fender Mustang Club

Yep. I make subtle adjustments to my amp whenever I switch among my P, J, P/J and Mustang.

I have modded my Mustang, so while my experience doesn't exactly mirror yours there are a few similarities... First of all, a short scale does have a bit of a different tone than a standard 34"(or 35") scale. The low end sits a bit differently. I find it a little bit fuller/bigger sounding with less of that mid range growl. My Mustang has a hotter output than my Precisions, and I find I do need to adjust the gain. However I don't really "tame" the EQ per say. I find that it has its own thing going on, and I use it for that reason. I also use it when I have gigs that are really notey as its way easier on my left hand.

Great to be back as it has been New Grandson Day everyday! After raising 4 generations of girls this is all new to me. I never thought diapering would become a new experience.

Man it’s a good thing these don’t come with the regular mustang pickups... or I wouldn’t have been able to resist! Such a sleek looking bass.

I could have sworn one of those stores said yesterday they had one in stock.
Must have sold right away.

Ya - that'd be sweet with a regular Mustang pickup and bridge.
I'm not too sure about the black tuners, but I like the head stock.

Well, almost. :thumbsup: it's actually the Wild Horse Monument off I90 near Wanapum lake in Eastern Washington. Great rest stop and view if you're ever in the neighborhood.

Not to be too nitpicky, but 'remuda' has always seemed more applicable for us, or for me at least. It's generally taken to mean a group of saddle-broke working horses that ranch hands choose from each day or more often as needed. Kinda like me this morning: "Practice today on PBass, Sterling or Mustang? Mustang, Sterling or PBass? MUSTANG!"
