I have a couple of '74 P-Basses (thumbrest over the strings) with the same screw... I took them out (and lost them.) It didn't seem to effect the pickguard at all.

Eh, it's alright. I think it'd be a sweet color combination with a Bound and Block (or dot) Rosewood board, but then it wouldn't be his sig anymore...

I think it's pretty damn cool. The Road Worns were a pretty big hit, my GC can't keep them in the damn store.
