Hey Jx. Can you get pics of the bass looking down on the bridge? you have the A bridge with 19mm spacing correct? do you think you had to drill new holes?

Yeah Jx! That looks nice!. So I have the 4 hole A bridge with 19mm/.750" spacing and the holes do indeed line up, but if you mount with correct holes, it pushes the bridge WAY to the back of the body. so far that the saddles may not be able to extend far enough forward to intonate in the correct position. If i mounted on the the string through holes it would be perfect and look a lot more like the set up you guys have. It looks like Jx has the four hole and it is mounted in the correct spot so i wonder if you had to drill new holes too? i only would do this as a last resort, i guess. It's been awhile since I changed the hardware but I don't recall having to drill new holes. My Lyte did not have string-through holes on the body and the Hipshot bridge is not for string-through, as I recall.

We're in the process of doing a cross country move and everything is packed away and boxed for the movers. It may be a month before my P-Lyte sees the light of day I don't recall if it was 19mm spacing, I was working on a number of basses at the time.

I don't know if it will work for you but when I click my photo above it enlarges it so that I can zoom in on the bridge.

Hey everybody. I've got the Hipshot hardware on my Lyte (tuners and bridge). I drilled new holes for the bridge to edge it forward slightly. Put on new strings and tuned it and the bass played great and required zero saddle adjustment, it was perfectly intonated as is!
For all the negative talk about the fender active electronics on these basses, I am quite pleased with the tone. My question for you Lyte Heads is: How high do you run your active pickups on this bass? With EMGs i hear a lot of people say as close to the string as you can get them. Mine came quite low and don't really come up too much but i can always add weather stripping/closed cell foam underneath to get them higher. Thanks everybody!
