I posted this before. I listened to it again, and this bass' tone is perfect! I will have to see how close my Ibanez can get to it with the split pickup soloed.

I so want one of those. That's my goal for 2018. Just like that one, too: Black with a maple neck. Of course I'd suffer through owning an Antique Olive w/maple if I HAD to. ha ha

They are very wonderful basses. I just don't love that Fender doesn't offer more finishes for the 5-string. If you don't want Black, White or Sunburst, you only have Olive. I really miss reds, blues and silvers.
Yeah. I'm lucky that I love Black and Maple so much.
I had a 2014 Black and Maple American Standard Precision 4 string and loved the way it looked.
I just want the 5 string version and am excited about the Professional series.
I saw at least two 2015/2016 Black and Maple American Standard Vs sold on TB within the last year. I'm keeping my eyes open and am hoping to be ready late spring/summer of next year.
