I play all my basses with flatrounds... what's the opinion out there?

Exactly! About $700 in this build. Warmoth one piece swamp ash body, Allparts neck, Fralin dual coil neck pickup, Fender Super 55 bridge pickup (total humbucking pickups). Concentric knobs 2 V 2 T. DIY guard. DIY finish for body and neck.

Probably plays amazing, wow. Fralin and a 55, so smooth. How's that baby sound? I imagine it has a glorious variety of tones. I'd love to hear it, if you ever get a chance.

I hate PJs with a passion (and that includes pajamas).

I think the two pickups look terrible together, I don't think the P pickup needs any added high end and the hum coming from the J pickup is annoying.

Hardly. But if your 'dropping the mic' like that pleases you to think so then that's fine too.

So with all due mutual respect I think we'll just have to agree to disagree on our conflicting opinions for the time being. Which is fine too. It wouldn't be TalkBass if opinional impasses didn't happen.

What are your thoughts and do you think it is worth it?

I do like the appearance and I get that the cost of business is always on the rise but two grand for this, in my mind, is a bit high.

Just curious of your initial thoughts.

Plays and sounds great! Replaced my Ric and an American Jazz. How can you say it's pricey when it's much less expensive that a Ric and in my opinion sounds much better at least for Rock and Blues!

I just bought one of these for 1200 from a guy on Marketplace. I still can't believe it. Amazing bass! Plays like a dream
