Fender Player VS Vintera series

Did you ever make a decision?

I played the Vintera again recently and to be perfectly honest.. I preferred the Player pickup. Maybe it's the Pau Ferro which I prefer but on the Vintera with the maple fretboard.. it sounds too trebly and doesn't sound quite like a standard Precision sounds like. It's not worth that extra $200 because it's still using cheap tuners and it includes a cheap case. The only plus for me was the thicker neck, string spacing and the blonde color.

I did end up getting the Vintera. I put Ernie Ball cobalt flats on it and it sounds fantastic now. I prefer a maple fretboard anyway

I wish I hadn't sold my arctic white player bass but I just had too many. Exclusively a jazz bass player now but looking at the Am Pro II series or will hold out for an American Standard to show up.
I had a Am Pro jazz and it neither played nor sounded as "jazz like " as the player series. I really hated that bass, and the experience turned me off to American fenders. The quality just doesn't measure up to the price.
