I'm not exactly sure on the route change, I had a 57 with the old style, and my 8/59 has the newer style.
I suspect it changed sometime around when the pickguard material changed as the tort screw pattern needs material in different spots than the metal guard. A 5/59 body with the old route makes sense as that would have had an ano guard. 7/59 is about when they made the switch.

They're getting pretty pricey... Here is a 1965 local to me here in Central Florida.

I already have a CAR '65 Jazz, trying to go for an older different year. I've found many and I mean many 65's for sale. but all the 63/64's that were sitting forever in Dec and Jan have mostly all of a sudden sold.

Last year, my '62 in LPB brought almost twice the asking price of that Florida '65. Willie said that Pino tried to dicker on the price but Willie declined because it was new on the market, and it went to someone else for full asking price shortly thereafter.

Going with sunburst will likely help keep the price more reasonable (vs. custom colors). But, here's the thing: Unless you're buying from a reputable vintage dealer, it can be hard to know if somebody has swapped out some parts, or repainted it, or in some way devalued it while still asking full vintage price. Please be careful.

I thought it wise of you to ask the TB family where, I like to think, you can better trust the product descriptions.

A lot more '65s around than '62s. Particularly custom colors. Production went way up by '65.

It's a high risk game these days as I know 100% of ones purported to be "all original" through supposed reputable dealers which were not and that the dealers knew this.
Used to be that refins were easy to spot and these have become much more accurate (and UV can be faked) and all the various tells such as pot codes, nail holes, pin router dowls, etc were pretty reliable to verify - but all that info is available online now.

'63 & '64 above from Jinobass1, '65 from shadven, so here's a '66 & '67 to continue the series.
(excuse the Custom Shop in between)

Edit: The '67 has been with me 40 years last month. The '66 33 years. The oddball one in the middle only 22 years. (and the custom shop was the most expensive one - at the time....)
