I reckon it's not a fake as in built as a fake, but rather a P bass copy with a waterslide put on by an owner to make it look like a Fender. I don't think anyone would build as bad a fake as that. Fender did, though, put waterslides on for a while.
I'm starting wonder whether this kind of thread topic is some kind of long standing TB inside joke.
