Woww, I have a '78 Precision that I have owned since new and mostly used Fender flats, but a couple of weeks ago I had it restrung and tuned up with a set of Sadowsky flats - first time I have ever played them. They sound absolutely great, in fact better I think than any strings I have ever played on my Precision. It is not necessarily the "old school funky dead sound", but you can get that sound out of these strings with playing technique if you want it. I am very impressed with them!
