Fender Precision Road Worn Bass

I have to agree with that. That is also why I like Affliction t-shirts so much. I guess they are "road worn" too, but still new, as ordinarily I don't like used clothing, but new clothing or a new bass that is just made to look and feel used is mighty fine by me!

Just traded my '98 p bass for a '09 RW jazz. Wowee, wow, wow.

I've only played one other j bass so I can't talk about comparisons much. The first one didn't do it for me. Didn't growl like I thought a j bass was supposed to.

This one growls, snarls, purrs, meows.... And light. Feels broken in. And you don't have to worry about scratchin it. What eles could I want?

Parts and workmanship seems top notch so far.

I was never crazy about the relic idea. But who cares?

Haven't had it long. I hate to speak too soon. But....this could be the ONE.

Now you are just MAKING ME want one all over again...drat...

I just want to say I have played bass for 25 years, have owned every bass imaginable, have been signed to Columbia records, and have played (and am currently playing) with national recording artists. My main axe until this time has been the lightest bass I have ever picked up, a 1963 Fender L-series Precision. I have been looking to retire by P-bass because I am getting worried about traveling with it and need a replacement. That being said; I just walked into a GC and played a Road Worn P-Bass and bought it immediately. This has to be one of the finest basses and lightest bases I have ever owned. I have had it for several days now and I think it is on par with not only my 63 P-Bass but new classics like a Sadowsky. Do a side by side comparison of a Pino CS P-Bass and the Road Worn and you will be amazed.

Anybody have knowledge of how the relicing is done on these basses, e.g., how is it that the relic job is so uniform?

Still loving my Road Worn. After the first set Saturday night I at a ritzy wedding I put down my Modulus Q-5 and picked up the Road Worn for the rest of the evening!
