My daughter, who just graduated college and landed her first job, is making 45k a year. She has to have a roommate because the rent is so high in So Cal. We had it so much better than the young people of today. Two weeks of her pay won't pay the rent for a one bedroom.
I drive for living been lots of places in the USA , people sometimes ask me where I'm from and I tell them Southern California,
Sometimes they apologize. Some ways they are right and some ways they are wrong . I used to agree, now I give a smart ass remark as too the weather and all the stuff you can do In a weekend if your so Inclined. That said it ain't like it was ...

fyi: this is the 3rd price increase in < 12 months. The laast one was in july before the wood and supply chain/port stuff. Surprised some models only went up $10 or $50.

We are at the point that mysynchrony needs to up the minimum financing from 6 months to 12 months for all stores -- even used.

Prices go up every year. Doesnt matter what it is. How do you think they pay for the pay raises and cost of medical insurance? June/July is normal for the yearly increase.

They other 2 were most likely to compensate for the increased cost of gas, materials, etc. Inflation is a biotch.

All I can say is that at this point, it’s damn certain I won’t be getting a new Fender any time soon. I also won’t be getting a new EBMM, or a meeting G&L either. I’ll have to settle for my Squier/Warmoth hybrid parts basses…:meh:

We're not too far removed from 2008 and the 'housing bubble' when lots of first time home owners were ridiculed for taking out unreasonable loans for homes that were 'beyond their means' and the banks were slammed for predatory lending practices.

This time around it feels like things will all be compounded by the seemingly real commercial real estate bubble but I digress as it's really just a good thing we all learned our lesson.

I mean 800k over asking price for a hobo shed in Toronto sounds reasonable and not dystopian era voodoo economics. Right?
