Fender question...

Better components on the American (tuners, bridge, and graphite reinforced neck). Better fret finishing on the American, plus rolled fingerboard edges. Not sure what frets are on the MIM, but my American has medium jumbo (not necessary, IMO, low ones would be fine for me). Overall, the American is better, IMO. Way more expensive, though.

Whats the difference between a mexican made jazz and an american jazz? which one is better?

As John said, MIAs are better. MIM's have different pickups and hardware, also no graphite bars. But I have a very nice 2002 MIM jazz and it plays and sounds awesome! my students prefer it over my '95 MIA jazz. :D
Here, the 2002 MIM j is on the right side:

mim... components made in america, assembled in mexico by mexicans

Mia... made in america and assembled in america also by american mexicans.
