IF buying new, consider the kind of band one’s in, the music you like, and what you wear onstage should factor in to the color you choose. Consider how stage lighting picks up the color, Ya da ya da. Perhaps you already have a preference.

I am thinking of buying one of these jazz basses from the Roadworn Series of Fender. They have some pretty cool colors but I am having trouble deciding on one! They have three colors: 3-Tone Burst, Firemist Silver (more like a blue), and Aged Olympic White. The Flea jazz bass with the shell pink is also on the list!

I went with Aged Olympic White. That with tort and a rosewood board is my all-time favorite Fender color combo. It just screams "classic"

To me, the only one that looks like true vintage is the sunburst.....others just look like fake relics.

I'd be more concerned with the way it plays and sounds.

Just my 2¢, but I briefly owned a Flea Jazz, and I really disliked the relic work on it, particularly the chipped paint on the front by the upper horn. I personally like Olympic White, but ymmv.

'Burst with tort is always a very cool look. Plus personally I'm not a fan of painted headstocks 99 percent of the time anyway. Black with tort is excellent also.

I vote sunburst. Classic looks but the olympic white and matching headstock is unique. Just don't like pau ferro fretboards and will be replacing mine with either maple or rosewood at some point.

Holy sh****** . This is the 1962 custom shop roadworn bass from 20 years ago , except it’s MIM for 1300 bucks ! I love it !
