there's a LOT more to dialing in a particular artist's sound than diddling with amp knobs, unless you buy a preamp specifically tailored to that artist, like the Tech21 preamps for Steve Harris, Geddy Lee, or Pinnick

Thanks! I know next to nothing hardly about bass. On guitar I know I can mess with my amp some, and sound like certain artists, to a degree. But, got a lot to learn about bass! Thanks!
