ok thanks rob and a more pointed question if u will how does it handle the highs and mids?

i spend more time there than with the low end.

also i play alot of bass with fuzz and other effects will it respond well to that in your estimation...

Also really curious.
Like awhitehouse, I also play a lot in the mid-high range, especially since I've become a Bass VI player in recent months. I need something that will give articulate lows and chiming highs.

The price on these is great, but, I fear the performance will mirror the price.

I heard a guy in a small club a while back using one of those with a Bassman 300 Pro head... sounded very nice.

Myself and others have tried emailing Fender for the performance specs on this cab but they won't give them out. Not frequency response or sensitivity. That's like selling a car without letting anyone know what powertrain it has.

I'd love to hear this cab, $300 aint to shabby for a 410.

I bought one of these a month ago, and have been using it as my main cabinet since then, about 4-5 gigs per week so somewhere around 60 hours of playing. I don't like it quite as much as my Marshall 410 that it's replacing, but it is significantly lighter and smaller, yet still handles as much power. I find it slightly mid-present, similar IME to an Eden cabinet vs. my Marshall which was more flat sounding. It is definitely a fantastic deal for the price, and can really hold its own against cabinets that cost more than double.

could it handle a 500w amp? i see its rated at 1000w but thats really its peak. would running a 500w amp blow it?

Ryan, I just got one after playing it @ the LMS. Its says on the front sticker;
1000 watts (Program/peak) and 500 watts (Continuous) Handling Capability.
4 ohms
