Fender Rumble 800 Combo Thread for the NEW 2022 800 Combo

That is quite a preponderance of bass in your settings and, if by "Preamp 12 o'clock" you mean Gain then, yes, that, with the "master 4 o'clock" would conjure a very significant SPL!! No wonder the grille is oscillating. Looks like trying to get 120 watts out of the 100 watt setting. I would recommend

2. Start with Gain at 9 o'clock and Bass, LoMid, HiMid & Treble at 10, 2, 2, 10. That, for most previous Rumbles at least, is an actual flat setting. Then just tweak slightly to taste, preferably with a Master not over 1 or 2 o'clock. If you use the Overdrive, start with low settings there, as well.

D. Check the screws holding the logo onto the grille. If any of them aren't tight it may allow the logo to rattle, if that's the type of sound you hear.

♤. If the wooden frame of the grille seems to be slapping, then a thin stickie furniture pad, or two, may be needed at the slapping point(s). ​

Actually I had the Master level listed at 4 o’clock when it’s actually set at only 10 o’clock.
Plus the amp is set at the Low Output mode and all voicing modes are off.
I don’t think adding any kid of neoprene tape to the frame is a possibility as the frame is attached with velcro that is installed all the way around, every inch is covered for secure attachment.
Since Fender never responded to Sweetwater they’ve agreed to replace the amp.
Can’t say enough good things about Sweetwater’s response to my problem, Kudos to them!!!
l should be receiving a replacement amp first of the week.
I do appreciate everyone’s replies and hopefully the new amp will work perfectly -

Plus the amp is set at the Low Output mode and all voicing modes are off.

It has a pretty big 210 cabinet and it's ported, so if you've got good PA support, you might be able to get by with just the combo alone. I think that's one of the biggest appeals of this combo is for those club gigs where stairs or tight elevators are involved and we're hauling our own gear to the gig. I love 810s and the built-in handtruck makes it easy to roll, but not if stairs are involved.

One thing that's kind of funny: Last week I did a gig on upright bass and the Rumble 40 and I set up the stand first. The guitar player thought I brought a guitar stand for him and looked confused when I said it was for my amp.

True, but that's down the road for me, unless I bring one of my Ampeg PF115s along. Not quite Janky Rigs of Doom Stuff there.

I took my Rumble 800 (the new one, not the modeling one) for it's first gig tonight.

It absolutely slayed and my guitarists and drummer were jealous of the 29 pound amp. I actually carried two basses, my backpack, and my amp in one trip from the car back into my house.

I had the amp on "low power" mode and never got past 8:00 on the master volume. It's plenty loud.
I didn't use the Tweeter.

It handled my low C# (we play a half step down and have some songs in drop tuning) like an absolute champ.

I would LOVE there to be an option for an extension cab with the same speaker array (and ideally, slightly lighter since it doesn't have an amp in it) but I don't need it.
