Punchy, bark, no twangy highs. No sound when I slide except for the note I plucked. I just need to lower the action from the bridge slightly. Had to learn fretless real fast to play on my gigs this weekend so I spent zero time on working the action. Maybe tonight.
I wish to point out that one of the bands that felt I sounded heavier is a post hardcore band....the VMJ sounded heavier than the Bongo?????? Cray.
