OR, the 200 combo is $3.22 per watt, while the 500 combo is just $1.72 per watt! :thumbsup:

Haha, yeah that is the more proper ratio to show value. Bang for the buck. People will pay more for a lighter amp, and more for more watts. You should look at watts per pound, and dollars per watt.

On a side note, those metrics do NOTHING to explain why a TB'er just paid nearly $2K for a relatively heavy 40watt amp, so numbers don't explain everything.

It's the 100, hence the need to crank it to be heard when a drummer and guitarist are playing loud. It sounds great to my ears, which is why I'd rather hang on to it. But if it's gonna blow up under the strain I guess I'll have to sell it and buy an old 300W Peavey combo or something else real cheap that can handle the volume even if the tone isn't as righteous.

They're tiny but they have volume to spare. No other support and I couldn't use half of the power. The BassLite driver upgrade made a serious difference on the R100 and 40.

Played 2 gigs this weekend with the Squire VMJ fretless bass with the Rumble 500C.

Got the same reaction from both bands: It sounds better than the EBMM Bongo. Wow....

Wasn't expecting that reaction. In fact there was zero hesitation from 7 different musicians that the Squire tone was better.

They used terms I didn't expect either... considering it is a cheap bass compared to a EBMM---terms like...beefier, heavier, more growl, real vintage sounding...etc. I am still speechless.

On a further note I officially open my venue August 26th that will be headlined by a band from Chicago. I also have a band from Charleston and Savannah coming that evening and my new band will debut then too.

I will post the names later this week. If anyone is in the area drop me a line and I will give you directions. (Savannah)
