Fender Rumble Club

The legs are so far forward because of the way the amp electronics mount down the back of the cabinet. Only problem I've had is that the first gig I used the legs, the amp walked backward a bit, straightened out the legs and tipped over backward. No damage, and the next night a cheap rubber door mat from Lowe's kept it from walking, and no problems since.

Anyone know where I can get a cover for this amp?
207 here. Got my cover from amplifiercovers.com in ten days and they told me they bought out tukicovers as well so whatever style cover you want, they have it. I got the basic vinyl for $59. I've also always liked Larry LeCover's stuff too - www.lecover.com
Also, been gigging the Rumble 500 regular the past couple weeks and even though I'm not a tweeter guy, somehow this amp uses the tweeter and adds tone, not junky twang. As a result, first amp I haven't turned off the tweeter!

Why does this thing look like it's fixin' to roll away to override some central computer and save Luke, Leia, Han and Chewie from being compacted in the Death Star trash bin?

Fletz should dig that S.W. metaphor, amirite?? BTW, still have that Stormtrooper decal on one of yer basses?

I'm definitely looking into getting a Rumble 500 once my firefighter money's in. I noticed though that the price difference is absurd! It's 500$ in the US, but like ~700 Swiss Francs. That's like 735 or so dollars. Oh well.

Either way though, getting a 200 for the little savings involved seems like a stupid move. The 100 might be too weak and seems to be inferior to the 200 and 500. Decisions, decisions

Question regarding the speakers:

I have seen somewhere here that the Rumble series transducers are not available as spare parts?
If they are custom design, it seems very strange that Fender will not offer an obvious "wear and tear" item as spare part?

Could anyone confirm this?

Are you sure?

I put a flip-out foot on my V3 100, from Speaker Hardware. It required making a cutout in the bottom, but the geometry isn't critical, the part is light, and the finished product is very stable.
I've only ever seen Fender tiltback legs on shallow cabs. I thought about them for my Rumble, but they normally deploy behind the cab. When not in use, they just hang down. In both positions, gravity keeps things secure and stable.

When I drew it out for the square proportions of the 100, it did didn't seem to work out.

Then I thought about using them "backwards"- angled back when stored, then lowering them to support the tilted amp from a point near the front of the cab. Once again, I couldn't seem to find a suitable layout.

I'm wondering if I gave up on the idea too soon. Does anyone have pics of a V3 with tiltbacks installed?[/QUOTE

I followed the thread because I was looking to add the legs, but went ahead and bought an amp stand instead.

Love the reference.

I've not heard or read anything of the sort. Call Fender's Consumer Relations for the truth of the matter.

Played my 'Rumble 500 last night at an outdoor gig. Upon watching the video I have one complaint: I was too loud. That's right, the bass was too loud. (I am only sarcastically complaining). Not only was it loud, but it was crystal clear. I have to take a picture of the settings because it wasn't boomy at all and the higher register notes punched right through. A little 500 watt miracle.

I have also learned that the Rumble with my American Hot Rod Precision is the perfect combination. There are two videos I will post sometime either today or tomorrow night that demo the combo amp. One will be a selection or two from my gig and the other is me demo-ing the amp with four different basses in my garage. Shot both yesterday/last night and need to find some time to make them web ready.

If anyone was loud, it was the lead guitarist. Personally, I'd say the 2nd guitar and drums were just a little low, with the vocal volume fluctuating. With no pa support, I suppose you two could have turned down a bit. As far as the lead's volume, your volume was perfect. Also, killer tone!

Played my weekly gig in the room from hell today. Set up along the long wall, by the upright piano.

The modded 100 V3 sounded darker than it does in our normal corner. I changed from neck pickup alone to both pickups in parallel on my Dingwall,, and boosted the upper mids and treble on the Rumble. This was better, but still a little too warm.

Hit the Bright button, and bingo- excellent tone. This is such an easy amp to work with in difficult rooms...
